would be happy to recommend for a weekend break
Clean house, nicely furnished house, with helpful amenities like free Wi-Fi and a lovely outdoor dining area to enjoy breakfast while being conveniently located just 58 km from the nearest airport.
Could not be improved in any way.

Accessing the lodge involves a high step, which can be cumbersome, especially with kids in tow. Decking shows signs of wear and tear, needing some TLC. The outside furniture could use cushions to enhance comfort levels. A minor annoyance is the kitchen door's placement, swinging awkwardly into the kitchen space. Twin beds are suitable for kids but may feel cramped for adults. Plus, my stay at Lodge 1 had a wasp issue, likely from a nearby nest, which might not be an everyday concern but still worth noticing for future visitors.

Perfect Getaway for Families!
Our family enjoyed a delightful three-night stay. The children's play area was fantastic, and we loved exploring the scenic surroundings. Pro tip, bring comfortable shoes for walking on the shingle path to your lodge. A little cleaning up would elevate the experience even more.

Perfect for a family getaway
The lodge we stayed in was spotlessly clean and had a spacious kitchen with everything we needed to cook meals together. The hot tub was quite the highlight, especially after a long day exploring the area, just sinking in and unwinding while the stars shone overhead was an unforgettable experience.
It wasn’t cheap, but honestly, worth every penny.

The outdoor dining area was a gem, perfect for munching on the local eats! We absolutely loved the views facing the beautiful pond and the close proximity to a massive garden centre for breakfast spots. Great location, with lots of fun nearby attractions.
The house rules were a bit of a laugh—no Netflix on their WiFi, a holding deposit, and check-out at 10am—it’s a bit stingy! Plus, they couldn’t provide an invoice.

would definitely return
Absolutely loved the outdoor dining area facing the beautiful pond. The hot tub feature was fantastic, although not needed in July heat. The kitchen had everything, like a microwave and fridge. The comfy bed was a dream. Peaceful with stunning lakeside views, perfect for relaxation.

It was just an appropriate option for a concise stay in Polegate with value for money. The ensuite shower in our room was great, but the mixer didn't work perfectly. Bring your own toiletries to avoid disappointment.

missingWrote a review on 12 Mayprivate hot tubspacious layoutmaintenance issues
The private hot tub offers a relaxing experience, although I faced some confusing instructions on how to operate it. The layout of the holiday home provides decent space for a family getaway, making lounging around an enjoyable option.
Lodge lacked air conditioning or even fans, leading to uncomfortable heat during the stay. Several maintenance issues were apparent, including peeling paint and dust-filled corners, which gave the place a neglected feel. The TV's sluggish performance was frustrating during downtime, and there were barely any entertainment options. Communication is lacking, too—poorly stated rules and missing essentials like toilet paper made for a cumbersome experience.
